Autumn can be a great season for changing up your style by taking on one of the many new menswear and hairstyle trends. Here we help provide you with some inspiration by taking a review of this seasons hottest hairstyles alongside the best haircare products for each look.

The Textured Look

The catwalk is a good starting point to see what will be hot for the coming season and we noticed an overall theme of unfussy styles with a textured cut at several shows. The basic principles for this cut are a longer style on top and shorter lengths around the back and sides. Designers Tom Ford, Matthew Miller, James Long and Christopher Shannon all took this approach and applied their own unique twist. Models at the Matthew Miller and James Long shows in particular caught the eye and both applied sea salt spray when styling this look which produced a matte finish and natural movement. To achieve this style try using a product such as Alfaparf S4U Ocean Texturizing Spray or Evo Salty Dog Spray.

Both these products can be applied to damp hair to achieve that textured day at the beach look.

In contrast Christopher Shannon styled the cut with the inspiration of an all night rave. To style this version try using a product such as American Crew Gel Spray to damp hair to capture a slightly wet look.

Classic Quiff

This classic hairstyle was a trend we spotted on various runways during the Autumn / Winter 2015 shows. One show where the look stood out from the crowd was at Burberry where a timeless, textured and matte look quiff was frequently used by the models.

Famous Savile Row brand Hardy Amies went for a more modern approach with large quiffs with height and volume.

The great thing about this look is that it is easy to maintain and always looks sophisticated.

To style the more textured and matte style we favoured from the Burberry runway try using a matte or clay hair product such as Hairbond Moulder which helps to thicken the appearance of your locks.

Another option is Schwarzkopf Osis Dust It Mattifying Powder, a product that texturizes and separates and leaves a soft matte finish.
